(1) To operate a motor vehicle equipped with one <br />optically grooved clear plastic right-angle rear view lens <br />attached to one rear window of such motor vehicle, not <br />exceeding eighteen inches in diameter in the case of a <br />circular lens or not exceeding eleven inches by fourteen <br />inches in the case of a rectangular lens, which enables the <br />operator of the mo%or vehicle to view below the line of <br />siqht as viewed through the rear window provided such vehicle <br />is-equipped with a mirror on each side of such vehicle so <br />lacated as to reflect to the operator a view of the highway <br />for a distance of not less than two hundred feet to the rear <br />of such vehicle; <br /> <br /> (2) To have affixed to the rear window or windows of a <br />motor vehicle any sticker or stickers, regardless of size; <br /> (3) To have affixed to the rear window or windows of a <br />motor vehicle any sunshading material; or <br /> <br /> (4) To operate a motor vehicle when the driver's clear <br /> view of the highway through the rear window or windows is <br /> otherwise obstructed. <br /> <br /> (c) Nothing in this section shall be construed as <br />prohibiting the affixing to the rear window of a motor vehicle <br />of a single sticker no larger than twenty square inches in <br />area if such sticker is totally contained within the lower <br />five inches of the glass of such rear window, nor shall the <br />provisions of subsection (b) of this section be applied to <br />a motor vehicle to which but one such sticker is so affixed. <br /> <br />Section 23-396. Cleats, etc., on tires; chains; studs. <br /> <br /> No tire on a vehicle moved on a highway shall have <br />on its periphery any block, stud, flange, cleat or spike <br />or any other protuberance of any material other than rubber <br />which projects beyond the tread of the traction surface <br />of the tire, except that it shall be permissible to use farm <br />machinery having protuberances which will not injure the <br />highway and to use tire chains of reasonable proportions when <br />required for safety because of.snow, ice or other conditions <br />tending to cause a vehicle to slide or skid. It shall also <br />be permissible to use upon any vehicle, whose gross weight <br />does not exceed ten thousand (10,000) pounds, tires with studs <br />which project not more than one-sixteenth (1/16) of an inch <br />beyond the tread of the traction surface of the tire when <br />compressed and which cover not more than three ~3) per cent <br />of the traction surface of the tire. <br /> <br /> The use of such studded tires shall be permissible only <br />from October fifteen to April fifteen. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
