Section 21-± False entries or d~struction of records <br /> <br /> ;'; If'~ ~lerk of any court or other public officer fraud- <br />ulently makes a false entry, or erases, alters; secrets or <br />destroys any recordr ~including a micro photographic copy, <br />in his kee~ing and belonging to his'office, he shall be <br />~guilty of ~Class 1 ~isdemean0r and shall forfeit his office <br /> and be forever incapable of holding ~ny office of honor, profit <br /> or trust Under %he ~onstitu~ion of Virginia. <br /> <br />with meteri] <br /> <br /> ny metering device ~ <br /> ~ which is used to furnish oil <br />telegraph~telephone~'~ ~e~ectric, gas, ~or water service to the <br />public, or 0therwise intentionally p~e~ent such a metering <br />device from properly~registering the degree, amount or quantity <br />of such service supplied, or who shall divert such service, <br />excepting, however,'telephonicor electronic extension <br />service not owned or controlled by any such company without <br />authorization from the owner of such facility who or which <br />furnished such service to the public, shall be guilty of a <br />Class ~ ~.~ , ~ <br /> 1 misdemeanor...., <br /> <br /> )re~ence-~f ~ metering device found to have been <br />altered,-tampered with, or bypassed in a manner that would <br />cause such metering device to inacc,lrately measure and <br />register the degree, amount or quantity of such service <br />supplied'or which would cause such service to be diverted <br />from the recording apparatus of the meter shall be prima <br />fa~ie evidence or'intent to violate and of the violation of <br />this section by the person~to whose benefit it is that such <br />serw <br /> <br />g or <br /> <br /> g or des' <br /> <br /> If any person maliciously, or with intent to defraud <br /> an insurance company or other person, burns, or by the use of <br />' - any explosive de~ice or substance, maliciously destroys, <br /> in whole or in part, or causes to be burned or destroyed, <br /> or aids, counsels or procures the burning or destruction of <br /> any building, bridge, lock, dam or other structure, whether <br /> the property of himself or of another, the burning or destruction <br /> whereof is not punishable under any other section of this chapter, <br /> and if he commits such offense at a time when no person is <br /> in such building, or other structure, and such building or <br /> other structure, with the property therein, be of a value of <br /> less than $200.00, he guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. <br /> <br /> <br />
