AN ORDINANCE TO ~MEND SECTION 23-468 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, PERTAINING TO PAYMENT <br />OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES PRIOR TO LICENSING. <br /> <br /> BE ~T ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that Section 23-468 of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 23-468. <br /> <br />Payment of Personal Property Taxes Prior <br />to Licensing. <br /> <br /> No license shall be issued under this article unless <br />and until the applicant for such license shall have <br />produced satisfactory evidence before the commissioner of <br />the ~evenue that all personal property taxes upon the motor <br />vehicle, trailer or semitrailer to be licensed have been <br />paid and satisfactory evidence that any delinquent motor <br />vehicle, trailer or semitrailer personal property taxes <br />owing have been paid which have been properly assessed or <br />are assessable against the applicant by the City. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 13, 1986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
