Number of Converted <br />Apartment Units <br /> <br />Lot Size in Squ~r9 Feet <br /> <br />1 3,480 - 6,959 <br />2 6,960 and over <br /> <br /> Under no circumstances are more than two (2) <br /> converted units to be permitted within one (t) <br /> existing structure in Olde Towne and in Park <br /> View. <br /> <br /> (e) Water and sewer service: Prior to the issuance <br />of a building permit for the establishment of a conversion <br />dwelling unit in a principal dwelling, approval of the <br />disposal shall be obtained from the Building Official's <br />office. Wherever determined reasonably feasible, separate <br />utility meters shall be required. <br /> <br /> (f) Off-street parking: One on-site parking space <br />shall be provided per conversion dwelling unit in the rear <br />of lot with access from alley. If no alley exists, the <br />space(s) shall be arranged on-site, in a manner to have <br />minimum visual impact on the neighborhood. The provision <br />of said space(s) shall be a condition for the issuance of <br />an Occupancy Permit. <br /> <br /> (g) Upon adoption of this conversion section, an <br />inventory of all structures shall be made to identify all <br />illegal conversions. Property owners found to have illegal <br />unit(s) shall De given twelve (12) months to either render <br />dwelling unit(s) into compliance with the conversion <br />provisions of this section or eliminate same. All <br />conversions in place in Olde Towne on October 24, 1967, in <br />Port Norfolk on ~pril ~'~, 1983~and in Park View in April ~1, <br />1984, and encompassed within the R-60 regulations shall be <br />considered conforming. <br /> <br /> (4) This ordinance shall take effect on the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia at a meeting held October 28, 1986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
