AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, <br />CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN, ORDINANCE NO. 1986-37, BY <br />AMENDING SECTION 11 (a) AND REPEALING SECTION 11 (G) <br />THEREOF, PERTAINING TO ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION - <br />FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia':- <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 11 (a) of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, Classification and Pay Plan, Ordinance 1986-37, <br />be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 11. Additi6nai'c0mpensa~6n 2'Fi~ef~ghters and <br /> Police Officers <br /> <br /> (a) Any sworn officer of the Fire or Police <br />Departments who is required to wear civilian clothes in the <br />regular performance of official duties, shall be paid an <br />additional fifty dollars ($50.00) per month as clothing <br />allowance. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 11 (g) of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, Classification and Pay Plan, Ordinance 1986-37 <br />be, and the same hereby is, repealed. <br /> <br /> 3.
