AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF NORTH SIDE OF WEST NORFOLK ROAD. AN UNNAMED STREET ON THE WHEREAS, Restaurants Mr. and Mrs. James Waters close and discontinue the said street; and ~ Internationale' Incorporated and have made application to vacate, hereinafter described portion of WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by this Council on July 8, 1986 viewers were appointed pursuant to section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view th~ hereinafter described portion of said street and to report in writing whether in their option any, and if any what, inconvenience would result from discontinuing the said street; and WHEREAS, the their opinion no of said street. viewers have reported in writing that in inconvenience would result from the closing NOW, THEREFORE, ~BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described street be closed and vacated as a public street. Beginning at a point in the northerly right-of-way of West Norfolk Road 320.0' west of the intersection with the southerly right- of-way of the Atlantic and Danville Railroad; thence southwesterly along the northerly right- of-way of West Norfolk Road 52.92' along an arc having radiu~ 2,~'3'~.93' tO a point in the westerly line of a 50' right-of-way; thence north 15° 16' 33" east, 168.36' along the westerly line of a 50' right-of-way to a point in the southerly right-of-way of the Atlantic and Danville Railroad; thence south 68° 53' 15" east, 50.26' along the southerly right-of-way of the Atlantic and Danville Railroad to a point in the easterly line 6f a 50' right-of-way; thence south 15~ 16' 33" west, 145.98' along the easterly line of a 50' right-of-way to the point of beginning. The point of the street to be closed is shown on Tax Map 711 and lies between parcel 0330 on the east and parcel 0310 on the west.
