AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF MARSHALL AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jean M. Davis has made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of <br />Marshall Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, on April 22, 1986, viewers were <br />appointed pursuant to ~15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as <br />amended, to view the hereinafter described portion of said <br />street and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, <br />if any what, Inconvenience would result from discontinuing <br />said street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing <br />in their opinion nc inconvenience would result from the <br />closing and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />that <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described <br />portion of Marshall Avenue be closed and vacated as a publc <br />street. <br /> <br />MARSHALL AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of Marshall shown on the plat of <br />I. O. Ivey Estate as recorded in the Clerks Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, <br />in ma? book 3, page 66, and also recorded in the Clerks <br />Offfce of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, in map book 1, page 96, being bounded on the <br />east by the property now are formerly owned by the <br />Virginia Company, and on the West by the prolongation to <br />the South of the western boundary of lot 222 as shown on <br />the plat aforesaid. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council by the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held July 22, 1986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
