F-306.4: ARTIFICIAL TREES. <br /> <br /> Artificial trees may be used if they have been <br />satisfactorily listed as being fire resistant or retardant by <br />a nationally recognized laboratory or agency and/or meet with <br />the approval of the fire official. <br /> <br />SECTION F-411.1 OF SAID BOCA BASIC/NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION <br /> CODE, 1984 EDITION, IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />F-411.1: GENERAL. <br /> <br /> (a) Any person or persons engaged in the business of <br />selling, servicing and installing portable fire <br />extinguishers, fixed fire extinguishing systems or fire <br />warning and detection systems in this city shall be <br />registered with the fire prevention bureau. Every applicant <br />for registration shall furnish the fire official with <br />satisfactory proof of their qualifications to perfcrm any and <br />all functions for which they have requested registration. <br /> <br /> (b) Each registrant shall provide proof of insurance <br />coverage at a minimum of S200,000.00 public and product <br />liability to protect the public (both from property and <br />personal injury) from negligence of their personnel in and <br />about the business of servicing and installing portable and <br />fixed fire extinguishing equipment and fire warning and <br />detection systems. <br /> <br />SECTION F-500.2 OF SAID'BOCA BASIC/NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION <br />CODE, 1984 EDITION, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />F-500.2: OCCUPANT RESPONSIBILITY. <br /> <br /> The occupant or person in charge of any occupancy where <br />there is a designated means of egress shall insure that such <br />means of egress complies with the provisions of this article, <br />prior to, as well as during, each use period of such <br />occupancy. <br /> <br />SECTION 501.1 OF SAID BOCA BASIC/NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION <br /> CODE, 1984 EDITION, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />F-501.1: OBSTRUCTIONS. <br /> <br /> A person shall not at any time place an encumbrance of <br />any kind before or upon any fire escape, balcony or ladder <br />intended as means of escape from fire. The means of egress <br />frpm each part of the building, including stairways, egress <br />doors and any panic hardware installed thereon, aisles, <br />corridors, passageways and similar elements of the means of <br />egress, shall at all times be maintained in a safe condition <br />and shall be available for immediate use and free of all <br /> <br /> <br />
