vehicle is defined as a motor vehicle, traile~ or <br />semitrailer designed o~ regularly used for carrying <br />freight, merchandise, or mo~e than ten passengers, <br />whether loaded or empty, including buses, but not <br />including vehicles used for vanpools. <br /> <br />Section 23-523.1. Same; automobile tranSporters; <br /> operation on certain highways. <br /> <br /> Automobile transporters shall not exceed a length <br />of sixty-five feet when operated on any federal <br />interstate annd defense highways or on any qualifying <br />federal-aid primary highways as designated by the State <br />Highway and Transportation Board. However, an <br />additional three-foot overhang shall be allowed beyond <br />the f~ont and a four-foot overhang shall be allowed <br />beyond the rear of the vehicle. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 1986. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held June 24, 1986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
