129 <br /> <br />A RESOLUHION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 700 NORTH STREET, 600 DINWIDDIE STREET AND <br />439 GREEN STREET TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns hereinafter-described real <br />property which has been occupied by the offices of the <br />Department of Social Services and the Health Department; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has entered into a lease agreement with <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority to relocate <br />said offices to the property formerly owned by Sears Roebuck <br />and Company on High Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the herein-described properties are to be <br />conveyed to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority for <br />the purpose of securing the terms and conditions of said lease <br />and for future redevelopment by private interest. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager De, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to convey to Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority those City-owned properties known as <br />700 North Street, 600 Dinwiddie Streen and 439 Green Street. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to sign such deeds and other documents <br />as may be necessary to complete this transaction. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held December 9, 1986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />city Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
