120 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF PORTIONS OF <br />THE FOLLOWING STREETS: ESSEX STREET; THIRD STREET; RANDOLPH <br />STREET; ORVILLE STREET; GORDON STREET AND HENRY STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portions of certain streets, and it <br />appearing that notice of application and request for the <br />appointment of viewers has been duly advertised as required <br />by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Albert <br />J. Cart, Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr., and C.L. <br />Knight be appointed viewers and that Emmerson Smith and <br />Raymond Tweed be appointed alternate viewers in the event one <br />of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers <br />to view the hereinafter-described portion of said streets and <br />to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br /> Essex Street <br />'(between Henry Street and Randolph Street) <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being more particularly described as <br />that portion of Essex Street bounded on the <br />north'by the southern side of Randolph Street <br />and bounded on the south by the northern side <br />of Henry Street. <br /> <br /> Third Street <br />(between Wythe Street and Harrison Street) <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being more particularly described as <br />that portion of Third Street bounded on the <br />north by the southern side of Wythe Street and <br />bounded on the south Dy the northern side of <br />Harrison Street. <br /> <br /> Randolph Street <br />(between 4th Street and 3rd Street) <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being more particularly described as <br />that portion of Randolph Street bounded on the <br /> <br /> <br />
