A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PRO~.~ECT <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, CONSISTING OF SIX (6) <br />CONDOMINIUM UNITS ON .93 OF AN ACRE OF LAND ON THE EAST SIDE <br />OF WASHINGTON STREET AT THE NAVAL HOSPITAL BOUNDARY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Swimming Point Associates, by Mark Walker, <br />Partner, has made application pursuant to ~40-55 of the Code <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended, for <br />the granting and approval of a group housing pro3ect <br />consisting of six (6) condominium units on .93 of an acre of <br />land on the east side of Washington Street at the Naval <br />Hospital boundary and further described as Tax Map 16, <br />Parcels 35, 38 and 42, such group housing project having <br />been designated as GHP-87-7; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the <br />Planning Commission to have met the requirements of ~40-5~ <br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as <br />amended, and the Planning Commission has reviewed such <br />application and site plans submitted therewith and has <br />recommended a conditional approval of said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has <br />reviewed the proposed group housing project and proposed <br />revisions thereto; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that the <br />approval of a group housing project pursuant to ~40-55 <br />grants only an exemption from certain requirements for <br />residences as stated in said section and does not ccnstitute <br />a waiver of any other requirement embodied in the <br />Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, or a~y !Qther applicable local, state <br />or federal law or regulations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permit <br />any other required permit will be issued only upon <br />compliance of with the ordinances, laws and regulations <br />applicable thereto. <br /> <br />or <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain group housing <br />project specifically designated as GHP-87-7 as revised, and <br />more specifically designated on plans filed with the <br />appropriate officials of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />such plans and documentations in support thereof being made <br />a part hereof is hereby granted approval subject to the <br />following terms and conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. A standard site improvement plan must be submitted <br />to the Department of Engineering and Technical Services for <br />review and approval. <br /> <br /> <br />
