67 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT <br />TO THE AGREEMENT WITH HAMPTON ROADS SANITATION DISTRICT FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION STORAGE SITE <br />AT THE PINNERS POINT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth and Hampton Roads <br />Sanitation District have entered into an agreement dated March <br />26, 1986, as amended May 27, 1986, for sale of the Pinners <br />Point Sewage Treatment Plant and inclusion of Portsmouth in <br />the Hampton Roads Sanitation District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hampton Roads Sanitation District has requested <br />the use of a portion of said property for storage of materials <br />and equipment in connection with construction of a sanitary <br />sewage force main across the Elizabeth River as a part of the <br />Virginia Initiative Plant-Elizabeth River Crossing-Project; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said use of the property would no5 interfere <br />with the operation of the sewage treatment plant. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, <br /> authorized to sign an amendment to the agreement with Hampton <br /> Roads Sanitation District dated March 26, 1986, for the <br /> purpose of providing a temporary construction storage site at <br /> the Pinners Point Sewage Treatment Plant. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth at a <br /> meeting held July 14, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
