A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN <br />EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CHESAPEAKE FOR <br />INSTALLATION OF A WATER TRANSMISSION LINE (MILITARY <br />HIGHWAY). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Chesapeake has reguested <br />permission to install a water transmission line on properny <br />owned by the City of Portsmouth adjacent to the Military <br />Highway in the Bowers Hill area; and <br /> <br /> K~EREAS, the City of Chesapeake has agreed to install <br />said water transmission line in accordance with plans no be <br />approved by the City of Portsmouth and to hold the City of <br />Portsmouth harmless from any damage no its water <br />transmissIon lines located in the same area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the price for granting of said <br />be one dollar fifty cents ($1.50) per square <br />total of $1,434.00. <br /> <br />easement shall <br />foot, for a <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and <br />he hereby is, authorized to sign an easement agreement with <br />the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, to provide for the <br />installation, operation, repairing, replacing, maintenance <br />and inspection of a water transmission line over, under and <br />across the hereinafter-described property, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain parcel of land, situate, <br />lying and being in the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia, designated as the property of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as shown on that <br />certain plat entitled, "Plat Showing 15' <br />Waterline Easement To Be Acquired By The City <br />Of Chesapeake., Virginia From City Of <br />Portsmouth", dated February, 1987, ~repared by <br />John E.
