45 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br />OF NORTH STREET. <br /> <br />VIEWERS <br /> <br />FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vaca5e, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described portion of North Street, and it <br />appearing that Notice of Application and Request for <br />Appointment of Viewers has been duly advertised as required <br />by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Albert <br />J. Carr, Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr., ahd C.L. <br />Knight be appointed viewers and that Raymond Tweed and Waldo <br />Davis be appcinted alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter described portion of said street and to <br />repor~ to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacatin9 <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />A Portion of North Street <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, and being more particularly <br />described as follows: All that portion of <br />North Street abutting and lying immediately <br />north of and adjacent to the North side of the <br />cul-de-sac at the east end of North Street, <br />the western most portion of said street to be <br />closed being a point on the no~th side of <br />North Street 173.02 feet east ~f the northeast <br />intersection of North Street and Mt. Vernon <br />Avenue and said portion to be closed extending <br />eastward to the former eastern end of North <br />Street, all as is more particularly described <br />and shown on that certain plat ensitled "Plat <br />Showing Disposition Parcels 153, 154, 155, and <br />157 Mt. Hermon Conservation and Redevelopment <br />Project VA R-69, Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />prepared by AML Surveying, Mortgage & Land <br />Surveys, Pcrtsmouth, Virginia, dated October <br />10, 1986 and recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia in Map Book 13, Page 178 and said <br />portion of North Street to be closed therein <br />being identified by the reference, "See Note <br />4". <br /> <br /> <br />
