The authorized complement of the Police Department shall <br />be one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, one Field Operations <br />Commander, seven Captains, fourteen Lieutenants, twenty- <br />five Sergeants, and one hundred sixty-one Police Officers. <br /> <br />SECTION 13. Salaries for Unclassified Positions <br /> <br />(a) The annual salary rates of the following unclassified <br /> positions shall be the amounts stated herein: <br /> <br />(1) City Manager <br />(2) City Attorney <br />(3) City Assessor <br />(4) City Clerk <br />(5) Mayor <br />(6) Council Member <br /> <br />15,000 <br />13,000 <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Part-time employees, whose positions are non classified <br />shall receive compensation as prescribed by the Depart- <br />ment Head and the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />SECTION 14. AdjustmenTs of Retirement Allowances <br /> <br />Ca) <br /> <br />The adjustments of retirement allowances as prescribed <br />in Sections 31-268 and 31-155 of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth shall be increased by $.33~. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />In addition to the adjustments authorized in paragraph <br />(a) above, an additional one-time adjustment shall be <br />granted to pensioners of the Portsmouth Fire and Police <br />Retirement System computed on the amount of pension <br />paid by the Fire and Police Retirement System on <br />July t, 1988, and of the former Portsmouth Supplemental <br />Retirement System computed on the amount of pension <br />paid by the Virginia Supplemental Retirement System <br />on July 1, 1988.
