additional rental period. <br /> <br /> (c) Special rates. The rental rate for not-for-profit <br />organizations qualifying under this section shall be Four <br />Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450.00). All additional ~ental <br />periods in the same day shall be at the rate of One Hundred <br />Forty Dollars ($140.00); provided, however, that should <br />additional rental period be used exclusively for ~ehearsal, <br />setting up or removing equipment, or other preparation for <br />the event, and the public is not admitted, the fee shall be <br />forty percent (40%) of the established rate for the <br />additional rental period. <br /> <br /> Not-for-profit organizations located in the City of <br />Portsmouth will be eligible for special rate consideration if <br />proceeds of the event are retained by the sponsoring <br />organization, or are donated to that organization, and that <br />there are no paid professional performers for the event. The <br />following types of organizations may be considered for <br />special rate classification: <br /> <br />Not-for-profit civic organizations <br />Not-fo~-profit fraternal organizations <br />Not-for-profit governmental organizations <br />Not-for-profit educational organizations, <br />exclusive of Portsmouth Public School events <br />Not-for-profit religious organizations <br />Not-for-profit charitable organizations <br /> <br /> (d) Conventions.
