Portsmouth and whose rates are not set by contract shall pay <br />two dollars and sixty-five cents ($2.65) per one thousand <br />(1,000) gallons, or, one dollar ninety-eight and twenty-five <br />hundredths cents ($1.9825) per one hundred (100) cubic feet of <br />water supplied. <br /> <br /> (c) For all water which passes through the meters to the <br />City of Suffolk pursuant to contract, the City of Suffolk <br />shall pay one dollar twenty-eight and thirty one hundredths <br />cents ($1.2830) per one thousand (1000) gallons, or, <br />ninety-five and ninety-eight hundredths cents (S0.9598) per <br />one hundred (100) cubic feet of water supplied. <br /> <br /> (d) The rates described herein shall be reflected in <br />bills rendered after July 1, 1988. <br /> <br />Section 38-66. Use of public fire hydrants; annual charge. <br /> <br /> Public fire hydrants shall be used for the extinguishment <br />of fires. Such public fire hydrants may also be used for <br />other municipal uses with the approval of the City Manager or <br />his designee. Prior to use for other than the extinguishment <br />of fires, an agreement covering conditions of use, including <br />provisions for payment of water and other costs where <br />applicable, shall be executed. <br /> <br /> Public fire hydrants within the corporate limits of the <br />City shall be paid for at the rate of one hundred twenty <br />dollars ($120.00) each per annum. Public fire hydrants <br />located in a city or town other than this City, shall be <br />subject to contract, or if no contract is entered into for <br />such fire hydrants, they shall be paid for at the rate of one <br />hundred eighty dollars ($180.00) each per annum. Rates for <br />public fire hydrants shall be payable quarterly. Bills for <br />public fire hydrants shall not be subject to discount. <br /> <br />Section 38-77. Charges for service established. <br /> <br /> (a) Charges for the disposal of sewage discharged into <br />the City sewage system will be based upon the water consumed <br />on the premises as measured by meters used for this purpose at <br />the rate of seventy and eighty-five hundredths cents ($0.7085) <br />per one thousand (1000) gallons, or, fifty-three cents ($0.53) <br />per one (100) cubic feet. The minimum charge for such service <br />shall be one dollar fifty cents ($1.50) per month. The rate <br />prescribed herein shall be reflected in all bills rendered <br />after July 1, 1988. <br /> <br /> (c) Charges for sewer service for dwelling units in <br />premises with unmetered water connections shall be three <br />dollars and seventy cents ($3.70) per month. <br /> <br /> <br />
