Section 14-1. Definitions. <br /> <br /> Director: The word "Director" shall mean <br />General Services of the City or his authorized <br /> <br />the Director of <br />reoresentative. <br /> <br /> 3. That Section 14-7(b), 14-21, 14-30, and Section 14-38 <br />be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 14-7(b). Littering. <br /> <br /> (b) It shall be unlawful for any person ao throw, drop <br />or deposit on any premises or vacant property within the City, <br />any wasne, including but not limited to refuse, garbage, <br />trash, ashes, rubbish, building rubbish, dead animals, <br />putrescible matter and anything injurious to health; provided, <br />however, that the prohibition contained in this subsection <br />shall not apply to the deposit of waste not injurious no <br />health on a public landfill where permission to make such <br />deposit is granted by the Director of General Services and <br />done in accordance with the regulations established by the <br />Direcnor of General Services pertaining to the use of such <br />public landfills, nor to the filling in or grading ot property <br />with earth, mud, ashes, and similar materials. <br /> <br />Section 14-21. Bulk refuse. <br /> <br /> Bulk refuse as defined herein shall be picked up from <br />residential dwellings at such time, and in accordance with <br />such procedures as may be established by the Director of <br />General S~rvices. Such items shall not be placed for <br />collection as Dart of the regular collection process for <br />garbage, trash or refuse. Tree branches, tree limbs, parts of <br />trees, bushes, shrubbery and cuttings or clippings and the <br />like, which cannot be placed in receptacles or refuse bags as <br />required under Section 14-24(c), shall be cut into lengths of <br />four feet or less and stacked neatly at curbside in a pile non <br />to exceed a total quantity of one cord (four feet by four feet <br />by eight feet) each month. It shall be the responsibility of <br />the owner or tenant of the premises involved to remove all <br />tree trimmings, cuttings, shrubbery and the like that do not <br />meet thes~ s~ecifications or those contained in Section <br />14-24(c). T~ee and shrubbery branches, limbs and trimmings <br />cut by landscape or tree service contractors will not be <br />collected Dy the City. Bulk refuse shall not be collected by <br />the City from business and commercial establishments, <br />including multi-family residential complexes. <br /> <br />Section 14-30. Abatement by Director upon failure of owner <br /> or occupant to comply with Article. <br /> <br /> <br />
