AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 40-31 AND 40-69 (b) <br />THEREOF, PERTAINING TO AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK PARTS RECYCLING. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 40-31 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended by adding thereto <br />following definition to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 40-31. Definition. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br /> AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK PARTS RECYCLING: <br /> <br /> DiSmantling of automobiles and trucks for sale or reuse <br />of parts, provided that: <br /> <br /> t, All parts in inoperative vehicles must be stored <br />within an area enclosed on all sides by an opaque fence or <br />wall at least eight (8') feet in height unless the City <br />Council shall specify different requirements in the use <br />permit; and <br /> <br />2. Ail parts will be stored on shelves, racks, or <br />pallets; and <br /> <br /> 3. Activities included in the definition of a scrap <br />processor as provided for in this section are prohibited. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 40-69 (b) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended by including therein <br />the following deScribed use: <br /> <br /> AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK PARTS RECYCLING. <br /> <br /> 3.
