SECTION 12. Complements of Fire Department and Police Department The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be one Chief, one Deputy Chief for Operations, eight Battalion Chiefs, thirty-six Captains, thirty-five Lieutenants, and one hundred forty Firefighters. (b) The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, one Field Operations Commander, seven Captains, fourteen Lieutenants, twenty- five Sergeants, and one hundred sixty-one Police Officers. SECTION 13. Salaries for Unclassified Positions (a) The annual salary rates of the following unclassified positions shall be the amounts stated herein: (1) City Manager $86,045 (2) City Attorney 73,000 (3) City Assessor 45,741 (4) City Clerk 31,780 (S) Mayor 15,000 (6) Council Member 13,000 (b) Part-time employees, whose positions are not classified shall receive compensation as prescribed by the Depart- ment Head and the Director of Personnel. SECTION 14. Adjustments of Retirement Atlowanzes The adjustments of retirement~llowances as prescribed in Sections 31-268 and 31-1SS'of the Code of the City of Portsmouth shall be increased by 3.33%. In addition to the adjustments authorized in paragraph (a) above, an additional one-time adjustment shall be granted to pensioners of the Portsmouth Fire and Police Retirement SysTem computed on the amount of pension paid by the Fire and Police Retirement System on July 1, 1988, and of the former Portsmouth Supplemental Retirement System computed on the amount of pension paid by the Virginia SuFplemental Retirement System on July 1, 1988.
