(c) <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer, Police <br />Sergeant, and Police Lieutenant shall receive an allowance <br />in the amount of 650.00 per month as compensation for <br />being required so wear a handgun at all times. <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Police Department Helicopter Pilots shall receive a flight <br />pay allowance in the amount of $130.00 per month. <br /> <br />Police Officers serving as First Class Patrol Officers and <br />Field Training Officers shall receive an allowance of <br />$45.00 per month as designated by the Chief of Police and <br />approved in advance by the City Manager. <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Firefighter, Fire <br />Lieutenant, and Fire Captain, who have successfully <br />completed the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) <br />course, shall receive an allowance in the amount of <br />$S0.00 per month. <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Firefighter, Fire <br />Lieutenant, and Fire Captain, serving in the Fire <br />Prevention Bureau, Training Bureau, and Administrative <br />Offices shall receive an allowance of $45.00 per month <br />as designated by the Fire Chief and approved in advance <br />by the City Manager. <br /> <br />Any sworn Officer of the Police Department who serves <br />as an Honor Guard or Honor Guard Supervisor shall <br />receive an allowance of $35.00 (Honor Guard) and $50.00 <br />(Honor Guard Supervisor) per month, as designated by <br />the Chief of Police and approved in advance by the <br />City Manager. <br /> <br />Any sworn Officer of the Police Department assigned to <br />the K-9 Corps, shall receiveYan allowance of $50.00 <br />per month as designated by the Chief of Police and <br />approved in advance by the City Manager. <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer and <br />Firefighter may receive s~ecial recognition as Master <br />Police Officers or Master Firefighters. This recognition <br />shall be equivalent to a one step increase in the employees' <br />base salary for the duration of the period that the sworn <br />person retains the "MASTER" designation. <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the classification of Police Officer, <br />Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, <br />Firefighter, Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, and Fire <br />Battalion Chief will receive an Education Allowance in <br />the amount of $S00 per year for attainment of an <br />Assocmate's degree or $1,000 per year for attainment of <br />a Bachelor's degree. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
