prescribe that the jail sentence shall be served at such time <br />or times as the court may direct after considering the <br />circumstances of the person convicted of violating this <br />section. <br /> <br /> (c) In addition, the court shall suspend or revoke such <br />person's license, permit or privilege to drive for the same <br />period for which it had been previously suspended or revoked <br />when such person violated this section. In the event such <br />person has violated this section by driving during a period <br />of suspension or revocation which was not for a definite <br />period of time, the court shall suspend or revoke such <br />person's license, permit or privilege to drive for an <br />additional period not to exceed ninety (90) days. Any <br />additional suspension ordered under the provisions of ~his <br />section shall commence upon the expiration of the previous <br />suspension or revocation unless such previous suspension or <br />revocation has expired prior to the ordering of an additional <br />suspension or revocation. <br /> <br />Section 23-365. <br /> <br />Other permissible lights; police and fire <br />department vehicles, emergency vehicles, <br />etc. <br /> <br /> (a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with no more than <br />two (2) fog lamps, one passing lamp, one driving lamp, two <br />(2) side lamps of not more than six (6) candlepower; interior <br />light of not more than fifteen (15) candlepower and signal <br />lamps. <br /> <br /> (b) Commercial vehicles as defined in Section 52-8.4 of <br />the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, buses operated as <br />public carriers and taxicabs, as defined in Section 56-273 of <br />the Code of Virginia, may be eqMipped with (i) vacant or <br />destination signs and (ii) one steady-burning, white lamp for <br />the nighttime illumination of exterior advertising, emitting <br />a diffused light of such an intensity as not to project a <br />glaring or dazzling light on vehicles operated as public <br />carriers, and signal lamps. <br /> <br /> (c) Only fire apparatus, forest warden vehicles, <br />ambulances, rescue and lifesaving vehicles, those vehicles <br />listed in paragraph (g) of this section, and school buses may <br />be equipped with flashing, blinking or alternating red or red <br />and white emergency lights of a type approved by the <br />superintendent. Only law enforcement vehicles may be <br />equipped with flashing, blinking or alternating blue or blue <br />or red emergency lights of types approved by the <br />superintendent. Vehicles permitted by this section to be <br />equipped with flashing, blinking or alternating red, red and <br />white, blue or blue and red emergency lights may be equipped <br />with the means ~o flash their headlamps when their emergency <br />warning lights are activated if; (i) the headlamps are wired <br /> <br /> <br />
