Any person who intentionally sets or procures another to <br />set fire to any woods, brush, leaves, grass, straw, or any <br />other inflammable substance capable of spreading fire, and <br />who intentionally allows the fire to escape to lands not his <br />own, whereby the property of another is damaged or <br />jeopardized, shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor, and <br />shall be liable for the full amount of aT1 expenses incurred <br />in fighting the fire. <br /> <br /> 2. That Sections 21-34.1 and 21-38.1 of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth be enacted to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 21-34.1. Carrying weapon into courthouse. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to possess in or <br />transport into any courthouse in this City any (i) gun or <br />other weapon designed or intended to propel a missile or <br />projectile of any kind, (ii) frame, receiver, muffler, <br />silencer, missile, projectile or ammunition designed for use <br />wifh a dangerous weapon and (iii) any other dangerous weapon, <br />including explosives, tasers, stun weapons and those weapons <br />specified in subsection (a) of section 21-38. Any such <br />weapon shall be subject to seizure by a law-enforcement <br />officer. A violation of this section is punishable as a <br />Class 1 misdemeanor, and upon the person's conviction, the <br />weapon seized shall be forfeited to the Commonwealth and <br />disposed of as provided in subsection (a) of Section 21-38. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this section shall not apply to any <br />police officer, sheriff, law-enforcement agent or official, <br />game warden, conservator of the peace, magistrate, court <br />qfficer, or judge while in the conduct of such person's <br />official duties. <br /> <br />Section 21-38.1. Carrying firearm or stun weapon on school <br /> property prohibited. <br /> <br /> If any person carries about his person any pistol or any <br />other firearm designed or intended to propel a missile of any <br />kind or any stun weapon or taser as defined in this section, <br />into any public building upon the property or any public, <br />private or parochial elementary, junior high or high school <br />he shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor. <br /> <br /> The exemptions set out in S18.2-308 shall apply, mutatis <br />mutandis, to the provisions of this section. The provisions <br />of this section shall not apply to persons who carry such <br />weapon or weapons as a part of the curriculum or other <br />programs sponsored by the school or any organization <br />permitted by the school to use its premises or to any <br />law-enforcement officer while engaged in his duties as such. <br /> <br />As used in this section: <br /> <br /> <br />
