53 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION <br />TEN FOOT ALLEY ON THE WEST SIDE OF EVERGREEN PLACE. <br /> <br />OF A <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, James H. Coppage has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereiaafter-described <br />portion of a ten foot alley, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br />advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavlo, James <br />P. Ely, Clinnon J. Fortune, Matthew J. Peanort, and L. A. <br />Clark, be appcinted viewers and that Raymond Tweed and Simon <br />P. Arrington, be appointed alternate viewers in the evenn one <br />of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers <br />to view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and <br />to report to this Council in writing whether in their oDinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />Ten Foot Alley <br /> <br /> Ali. that portion of the ten (10) foot alley <br />situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />running through Block Ten (10) on the plat of <br />Piedmont Heights, recorded in the Clerk's Office <br />of the Circuit Court of the City et Chesapeake <br />in Map Book 4, page 52, described as follows: <br />Beginning on the west side of Evergreen Place <br />at the southeast corner of Lot Thirteen (13) in <br />Block Ten (10) on said plat of Piedmont Heights; <br />thence west 110 feet; thence south 75 feet; thence <br />east 10 feet; thence north 65 feet; thence east <br />100 feet to the west side of Evergreen Place <br />and thence north along Evergreen Place 10 feet <br />to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Said property is shown on Tax Map 139, and <br /> is bounded by Parcels 26, 27, and 48 on said <br /> map. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held August 9, 1988. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
