24 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO THE PENTECOSTAL WORKERS OF CHRIST CHURCH TO OPERATE A GROUP HOME FOR ADULTS AT 2503 DEEP CREEK BOULEVARD. WHiEREAS, the Pentecostal Workers of Christ Church, by Reverenid James H. Coppage, Pastor, has made application pursuan!t to ~40-71 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginiia, for the granting of a use permit to operate a group home fo!r thirty (30) adults at 2503 Deep Creek Boulevard; and WHiEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meieting held April 28, 1987, granted a use permit to operatei group home for ten (10) adults at 2503 Deep Creek Bouleva~rd; and WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with this new application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit with conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the use for which the use permit is sought: (a) Will not adversely affect the health and ~afety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use; ~n3urlous Knd (b) Will not be detrimental to the no the property or .improvements in public use or the neighborhood; (c) Will be in accord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. 2. The Pentecostal Workers Christ of Church is hereby granted a use permit pursuan5 no ~40-71 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, so operate a group home for thirty (30) adults on the propersy designated as 2503 Deep Creek Boulevard and described as Tax MaD 139, Parcels 48 and 51 (UP-88-4). 3. This use permit is approved suDject to the following conditions: (a) No more than thirty (30) adults may be residents of the facility at any one time.
