10 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />BALLARD AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Wilcox Avenue, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br />advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, <br />Melville A. Bunting, Lee Batts, Casey Lavender, Harry <br />Hopewell be appointed viewers and that Harrision Miller and <br />Charles Hudgins be appointed alternate viewers in the event <br />one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said <br />viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of such <br />street and to report to this Council in writing whether in <br />their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would <br />result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />Ballard Avenue <br /> <br />Parcel 1 <br /> <br /> That portion of Ballard Avenue shown as <br />Seaboard Avenue and being 30' in width on the <br />Plat of Washington Heights, duly recorded in <br />the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of <br />Chesapeake in Map Book 19 at page 90. Beginning <br />on the east side of Laigh Road (formerly <br />Grogan Avenue) thence east 340 feet more or less <br />to the eastern boundary of the aforementioned plat. <br /> <br />Parcel 2 <br /> <br /> Beginning on the west side of Laigh Road <br />(formerly Grogan Avenue) thence west 477 feet <br />more or less to the western boundary of the <br />aforementioned plat. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held February 9, 1988. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
