A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY <br />TO THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, <br />FOR THE WIDENING OF STATE ROUTE 604, PITCHKETTLE ROAD, IN <br />SUFFOLK. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has <br />requested that the City of Portsmouth convey certain <br />hereinafter described property for the purpose of widening <br />State Route 604, Pitchkettle Road, in Suffolk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has <br />agreed to pay the sum of Eleven Thousand Twenty Seven Dollars <br />($11,027.00) for said property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has <br />installed certain erosion and sedimentation facilities as <br />requested by the City of Portsmouth to protect the Lake Meade <br />Reservoir. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to convey the hereinafter described <br />property to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of <br />Transportation, for the widening of State Route 604, <br />Pitchkettle Road, in Suffolk, to-wit: <br /> <br />City <br /> <br /> Ail those certain parcels of land, <br />situate, lying and being in the City of <br />Suffolk, Virginia~ described as parcels 003, <br />008, 015 and 025 as shown on the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation plans entitled <br />"State Highway Project 0604-061-213, M-501", <br />recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit <br />Court of Suffolk, Virginia. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held March 28, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
