82 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY <br />LOCATED ON THE NORTH SID~ OF WOODROW STREET TO THE PORTSMOUTH <br />PORT AND INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns certain hereinafter-described real <br />property located on the north side of Woodrow Street, which <br />property is no longer required for public purposes and is, <br />hereby, declared to be excess property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property may be combined with other <br />property owned by the Portsmouth Port and Industrial <br />Commission fo~ resale to a private business; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it <br />to be in the best interest of the City for said property to be <br />privately developed and placed back on the tax rolls. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and hereby <br />is, authorized convey the hereinafter-described property to <br />the Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission. <br /> <br /> Ail that certain lot, piece or parcel of <br />land, situate, lying and being in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered, and <br />described as Parcel 16 on Tax Plate 118. Said <br />parcel is approximately 400 square feet. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and <br />hereby is, authorized to sign such deeds and other documents <br />as may be necessary to carry out the intent of this <br />Resolution. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the~Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meetihg held December 12, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
