Any sworn Officer of the Police Department assigned to the <br />K-9 Corps, shall receive 3/4 of an hours pay per day at the <br />prevailing minimum wage for all care and maintenance of the <br />assigned animal. <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer and <br />Firefighter may receive special recognition as Master Police <br />Officers or Master Firefighters. This recognition shall be <br />equivalent to a one step increase in the employees' base <br />salary for the duration of the period that the sworn person <br />retains the "MASTER" designation. <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the classification of Police Officer, <br />Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, <br />Firefighter, Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, and Fire <br />Battalion Chief will receive an Education Allowance in the <br />amount of $500 per year for attainment of an Associate's <br />degree or $1,000 per year for attainment of a Bachelor's <br />degree. <br /> <br />SECTION 12. Complements of Fire Department and Police Department <br /> <br />(a) The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be <br /> one Chief, one Deputy Chief, eight Battalion Chiefs, <br /> thirty~six Captains, thirty~five Lieutenants, and one <br /> h~ndred forty Firefighters. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be <br />one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, one Field Operations <br />Commander, seven Captains, thirteen Lieutenants, twenty~six <br />Sergeants, and one hundred sixty~four Police Officers. <br /> <br />SECTION 13. Salaries for Unclassified Positions <br /> <br />(a) The annual salary rates of the following unclassified <br /> positions shall be the amount stated herein: <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />City Manager <br />City Attorney <br />City Assessor <br />City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br /> <br />15,000 <br />13,000 <br /> <br />Part~time employees, whose positions are <br />shall receive compensation as prescribed <br />Head and the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />not classified <br />by the Department <br /> <br />-7- <br /> <br /> <br />
