That Section 25-47 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, as amended, be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 25-47. <br /> <br /> term of <br /> <br /> The parks and recreation commission shall consist of nine <br />(9) ~embers. The members of the commission shall be appointed <br />by the council for terms of three (3) years; provided, <br />however, that of those first appointed, three (3) shall be <br />appointed for a term of one (1) year, three (3) for a term of <br />two (2) years, three (3)~for a term of three (3) years, such <br />terms shall commence on July 1, 1976. <br /> <br />Composition; appointment and <br />members. <br /> <br /> 11. That Section 39-47 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, as amended, be amended to read <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 39-47.
