AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF A 10 FOOT ALLEY ON THE WEST <br />SIDE OF ROANOKE AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Patricia Parker has made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of a <br />10 foot alley on the west side of Roanoke Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted June 12, <br />1990, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portion of said alley and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing said portion of a 10 foot <br />alley on the west side of Roanoke Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing <br />and discontinuing of said alley. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described <br />portion of a 10 foot alley on the west side of Roanoke Avenue <br />be close~ and vacated as a public alley. <br /> <br /> Ten foot lane immediately west of Lots <br />18 & 19, Block 11, and immediately north of <br />Lot 19, Block 11 all shown on the plat of <br />Piedmont Heights recorded in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City <br />of Chesapeake, Virginia, in map book 2, <br />page 62. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held September 18, 1990. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
