A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF SEVERAL ALL~YS BETWEEN ALDEN AVENUE AND BAINBRIDGE AVENUE. ~EREAS, City of Portsmouth has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described alleys, and it appearing that Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Melville Bunting, Lee Butts, Casey Lavender, Roy Leinart, be appointed viewers, and that Robert McCurdy and James McGhee, be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described alleys and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: 1. The three alleys as shown on the plat of Cradock, Block 12; said block being bounded by Alden Avenue on the north, Decatur Street on the east, Bainbridge Avenue on the south, and Cushing Street on the west. Ail that alley as shown on the plat of Cradock, Block 20; said block being bounded by Alden Avenue on the north, Emmons Place on the east, Bainbridge Avenue on the south, and Prospect Parkway on the west. The three alleys as shown on the plat of Cradock, Block 24; said block being bounded by Alden Avenue on the north, Farragut Street on the east, Bainbridge Avenue on the south, and Emmons Place on the west. Ail that alley as shown on the plat of Cradock, Block 28; said block being bounded by Alden Avenue on the north, Gillis Road on ~the east, Bainbridge Avenue on the south, and Farragut Street on the west.
