A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE ~ITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, SAID PROJECT BEING~THE FINAL <br />BUILDING CONSISTING OF SIX CONDOMINIUM UNITS OF THE PROJECT <br />KNOWN AS "COLUMBIA PLACE CONDOMINIUMS" AND DESIGNATED AS <br />GHP-90-1. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held July 23, 1985, adopted a resolution granting <br />approval for Group Housing Project GHP-85-19 pursuant to <br />Section 40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1973, said project being known as "Columbia Place <br />Condominiums" consisting of thirty-six (36) condominium units <br />on a 1.089 acre parcel bounded by Washington, Columbia and <br />South Streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held January 10, 1989, adopted a resolution <br />approving a revision to the plan for Group Housing Project <br />GHP-85-19, pursuant to Section 40-55 of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Roger Early, President and General Partner of <br />Columbia Place Associates, has made application pursuant to <br />Section 40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1988, for a group housing project to complete the final <br />building consisting of six (6) condominium units in the 500 <br />block of Columbia Street, in accordance with said resolutions, <br />on a parcel more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br /> GHP-90-1 <br /> <br /> Beginning on the south right-of-way line of Columbia <br />Street 140'+ east from its intersection with the east <br />right-of-wa~ line of Washington Street; thence south 56'+ <br />to a point; thence east 44'+ to a point; thence south -- <br />58'+ to a point; thence eas~ 66'+ to a point; thence <br />north 114'+ to the south right-of-way line of Columbia <br />Street; thence west along said right-of-way line 111'+ to <br />the point of beginning. -- <br /> <br />and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the <br />Planning Commission to have met the requirements of Section <br />40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, <br />as amended; and <br /> <br /> <br />
