71 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />WALDRON AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John H. and Mary W. Sedberry have made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Waldron Avenue, and it <br />appearing that Notice of Application and Request for <br />Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by <br /> <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Vincent T. Cherry, Waldo Davis, <br />William Choate, Maupin Bailey and James Vick be appointed <br />viewers and that Thaddeus Lawrence and Lester Harrington, be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br />Waldron Avenue <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, and being that portion of Waldron <br />Avenue located between an extension of the <br />western side of Bluegill Avenue, formerly <br />First Street (now closed) and the extension <br />of the eastern lot line of Lot 7, Block A, <br />as shown on the plat of Garden Homes, which <br />plat is duly recorded in the Clerk's Office <br />of the Circuit Court of the ~ty of Chesapeake <br />in Map Book 21, at page 68 and 69. Said <br />portion of Waldron Avenue is approximately 20+ <br />feet wide and 260+ feet long and is in an -- <br />unimproved condition. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~ at a meeting held September 18, 1990. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
