54 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF GRACE <br />STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described Grace Street, and it appearing that <br />Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers <br />has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that Vincent Cherry, Clinton Fortune, <br />Lee Batts, Casey Lavender, and Richard Todd be appointed <br />viewers and that James Vick and Waldo Davis be appointed <br />alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers <br />fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described street and to report to this Council in <br />writing whether in their opinion any, and if any what, <br />inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of the <br />Intersection of Effingham and Grace Streets; thence <br />East along the North right-of-way of Grace Street a <br />distance of 300.87', more or less, to the West <br />right-of-way of Green Street; thence South along the <br />West right-of-way of Green Street a distance of 30' <br />to the South right-of-way of Grace Street; thence <br />West along the South right-of-way of Grace Street a <br />distance of 311.68', more or less, to the East <br />right-of-way of Effingham Street; thence North along <br />the East right-of-way of Effingham Street a distance <br />of 31.86' to the North right-of-way of Grace Street, <br />to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 15, 1991. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
