52 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN EASEMENT <br />AGREEMENTS WITH VIRGINIA POWER ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY AT LAKE <br />KILBY, SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Power is currently upgrading its <br />facilities in the area of Lake Kilby in the City of Suffolk; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the undertaking of these improvements requires <br />construction of new lines and transformers to provide <br />electrical service to facilities of the Public Utilities <br />Department in that area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />deems it to be in the best interest of the city to grant said <br />easements. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to sign easement agreements with <br />Virginia Power for property located at Lake Kilby in the City <br />of Suffolk, Virginia, as shown on Virginia Power plats <br />numbered 26-91-0110 and 26-91-0111. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to sign such documents as may be <br />necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held September 24, 1991. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
