49 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />BARCLAY AVENUE (FORMERLY ROSE AVENUE). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Gino's Pizza of Tidewater, Inc. has made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter <br />described portion of Barclay Avenue, and it appearing that <br />Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers <br />has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Roy Leinart, James P. Ely, <br />Melville Bunting, Matthew Peanort and L. A. Clark be appointed <br />viewers and that Lester Harrington and Carrie Byrum be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter described portion of such street and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br /> That portion of Barclay Avenue (formerly Rose <br />Avenue) beginning at a point 130 feet, more or <br />less, northwest from the intersection of Barclay <br />Avenue and George Washington Highway as shown on <br />the plat of Garden Homes recorded in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Chesapeake, Virginia in Map Book 21 at Page 68 and <br />69; and from thence in a northwesterly direction a <br />distance of 91 feet, more or less, to a point <br />parallel with the western boundary of Parcel 10 as <br />shown on Tax Map 464.
