1991-86 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2-791 OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, AS AMENDED, <br />COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS RESOURCES BOARD. <br /> <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />RELATING TO THE <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 2-791 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-791. <br /> <br />Composition; appointment and terms of <br />members; filling of vacancies. <br /> <br /> The board shall consist of seven (7) members, three (3) <br />of said members being appointed by the City Council, three (3) <br />being appointed by the Chief Judge and/or Judges of the <br />Circuit Court of the City, and one (1) being appointed by the <br />regional administrator of the Virginia Department of <br />Corrections. The members of the board shall be appointed for <br />terms of three (3) years. Provided, however, that of those <br />first appointed by the City Council and by the Chief Judge <br />and/or Judges of the Circuit Court, one shall be appointed for <br />one (1) year, one shall be appointed for two (2) years, and <br />one shall be appointed for three (3) years. The members shall <br />held office during their respective terms until their <br />successors are appointed. A vacancy in the term of a member <br />of the board shall be filled for the unexpired term by the <br />individual or body first making that member's appointment. <br /> <br /> 2.
