AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY ADDING SECTION 12-18 <br />PERTAINING TO COMPENSATION OF JURORS. <br /> <br />CITY OF <br />THEREOF, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended by adding Section 12-18\ <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 12-18. Compensation of Jurors. <br /> <br /> A juror may direct in writing that compensation due him <br />for his services as a juror be paid to the Portsmouth <br />Community Services Board, the Portsmouth Department of Social <br />Services, or the Portsmouth Juvenile and Domestic Relations <br />District Court Services Unit, or to any combination of these <br />agencies. <br /> <br /> 2.
