AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 20-83 <br />THEREOF, PERTAINING TO SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the-City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 20-83 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 20-83. <br /> <br />Savings and loan associations and credit <br />unions. <br /> <br /> Every savings and loan association, or state-chartered <br />credit union, which operates a home office in the city shall <br />pay an annual license tax of fifty dollars (S50.00). <br /> <br /> 2.
