AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 4-67 THEREOF, <br />PERTAINING TO DOG LICENSES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. Than Section 4-67 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 4-67. <br /> <br />Composition. <br /> <br /> A dog license shall consist of ~ license tax receipt and <br />a metal tag. The receipt shall have recorded thereon the name <br />and address of the owner or custodian of the dog, the date of <br />payment of the tax, the year for which issued, the serial <br />number of the tag, and whether same is issued for a male, <br />unsexed male, unsexed female, female or kennel. The tag shall <br />be stamped or permanently marked to show the name of the city <br />as the issuing authority, the sex of the dog and the calendar <br />year for which issued and shall bear a serial number. <br /> <br /> 2. Than this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, <br />1991. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on June 25, 1991. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
