Or two (2 percent of the initial amount of any <br />social security benefit and falling due before the <br />member's normal retirement date, multiplied by the <br />number of years of creditable service, not in excess <br />of twenty-five (25) such years. <br /> <br /> (b) Upon his retirement as provided in subsection (c) of <br />section 30-116 on or after July 1, 1973, a member shall <br />receive an annual retirement allowance payable at least <br />monthly to him during his lifetime the amount of which, before <br />and after his normal retirement date, shall be determined in <br />accordance with subsection (a), except that if the member <br />terminated service as an employee prior to July 1, 1974, and <br />has completed less than twenty (20) years of creditable <br />service, the allowance as computed shall be reduced to a <br />percentage of itself in accordance with the following table: <br /> <br />Completed Years of <br /> Creditable Service <br /> <br />Applicable <br />Percentage <br /> <br />Ten (10 but less than eleven (11) 50 <br />Eleven (11) but less than twelve (12) 55 <br />Twelve (12) but less than thirteen (13) 60 <br />Thirteen (13) but less than fourteen (14) 65 <br />Fourteen (15) but less than fifteen (15) 70 <br />Fifteen (15) but less than sixteen (16) 75 <br />Sixteen (16) but less than seventeen (17) 80 <br />Seventeen (17) but less than elqhteen (18) 85 <br />Eighteen (18) but less than nineteen (19) 90 <br />Nineteen (19) but less than twenty (20) 95 <br /> <br /> (c) If after termination of service and prior to <br />retirement as provided in subsection (c) of section 30-116 <br />subsection (a) of this section is amended, the member's <br />allowance calculation shall be~bas~d~on the amended <br />subsections in effect as of the date of retirement. <br /> <br /> (d) The foregoing provisions to the contrary <br />notwithstanding, if a member's retirement allowance is payable <br />under one (1) of the options of section 30-128 the amount and <br />duration thereof shall be determined in accordance with the <br />provisions of the applicable option. <br /> <br /> (e) The foregoing provisions to the contrary <br />notwithstanding, any person whose membership began on or after <br />his fifty-fifth birthday and after July 1, 1977, shall not be <br />eligible for or receive a retirement allowance as provided for <br />herein unless the member be in service at his normal. <br />retirement date. <br /> <br /> (f) Upon retirement as provided in subsection (d) of <br />section 30-116, the member shall receive an annual retirement <br />allowance, payable at least monthly during his lifetime, the <br /> <br /> <br />
