1992-30 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 38-117(a) AND (c) <br />THEREOF, PERTAINING TO RATES FOR DISPOSAL OF SEWAGE. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Sections 38-117(a) and (c) of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended and reordained <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 38-117 Rate. <br /> <br /> (a) Charges for the disposal of sewage discharged into <br />the City sewer system will be based upon the water consumed on <br />the premises as measured by meters used for this purpose at <br />the rate of one dollar and two and ninety-three hundredths <br />cents ($1.0293) per one thousand (1,000) gallons or <br />seventy-seven cents ($0.77) per one hundred (100) cubic feet. <br />The minimum charge for such service shall be one dollar and <br />fifty cents ($1.50) per month. <br /> <br /> 2. This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 1992 and <br />shall be applicable to all bills rendered after July 1, 1992. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 12, 1992. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
