A religious, educational or other public or quasi-public <br />institution shall be entitled to a certificate of compliance <br />for one canopy sign per street frontage, subject to the <br />requirements of the above paragraph and all other applicable <br />requirements of this chapter, except that such signs may be up <br />to twelve (12) feet in height. <br /> <br /> 4. That Tables 40-61.1-1 and 40-61.1-2 of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, be amended by adding thereto <br />the sign type, "Canopy," to read as shown on the two attached <br />tables. <br /> <br /> 5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on August 25, 1992. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
