32 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO APPROVE CERTAIN ADDITIONS AND CHANGES IN <br />FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATING MAINTENANCE PAYMENTS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the regulations of the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation adopted pursuant to ~31.1-41.1, Code of <br />Virginia, require that the City submit a request for changes <br />in mileage additions and functional classification of streets <br />which occurred during the fiscal year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following described changes in mileage have <br />occurred in the City of Portsmouth for the reasons specified. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation be requested to approve the following additions <br />and changes in functional classification for streets in the <br />City of Portsmouth for the purpose of calculating maintenance <br />payments: <br /> <br />A. ADDITIONS <br /> <br />1. Wyatt Drive from Coast Guard Road to Sunnyside Avenue. <br /> <br />2. Wyatt Drive from Sunnyside Avenue to West Norfolk Road. <br /> <br />Gail Court from West Norfolk Road to .05 N of West <br />Norfolk Road. <br /> <br />B. DELETIONS <br /> <br />West Norfolk Road from West Norfolk By Pass to .40 ME <br />West Norfolk By Pass. <br /> <br />2.
