A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br />ROAD · <br /> <br />VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF LAIGH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Laigh Road, 'and it appearing <br />that Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of <br />Viewers has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Roy Leinart, Thaddeus Lawrence, <br />Lester Harrington, Harry Fallon, and Cornelius Harding be <br />appointed viewers and that Albert Carr and Howard Davis, be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br />Ail that certain lot, parcel or piece of land lying, <br />being and situated in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia and more particularly described as that <br />parcel of land as shown on a certain plat entitled, <br />"Plat Showing Survey of Portion of Laigh Road to be <br />Closed, Portsmouth, Virginia" dated February 20, <br />1990 and prepared by AML Surveying Mortgage & Land <br />Surveys, Portsmouth, Virginia, and further described <br />as that parcel of land beginning at the intersection <br />of the Northeastern boundary of Laigh Road and the <br />Northwestern boundary of the Seaboard Coastline <br />Railroad right,of.way ~hence South 57000' West fifty <br />(50) feet along said Northwestern boundary of the <br />Seaboard Coastline Railroad right-of-way to its ' <br />intersection with the Southwestern boundary of Laigh <br />Road, thence North 33°09'40'' West seventy (70) feet <br />along said Southwestern boundary of Laigh Road to a <br />point, thence continuing along a curve to the left <br />in said boundary of Laigh Road with a radius of <br />twenty (20) feet for a distance of 31.42 feet to its <br />intersection with the Southeastern boundary of Laigh <br />Circle, thence along a curve to the right with a <br />radius of 70 feet for a distance of 109.96 feet to <br />the Northeastern boundary of Laigh Road, thence <br />South 33°09'40'' East for a distance of 160.14 feet <br />to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
