Page Two <br />Hrs. June Brooks <br />May 2!, 1992 <br /> <br />The schedule for the children will begin at approximately 6:00 am <br />- 7:00 am when the children are dropped off. From 7:00 am - 8:00 <br />am, breakfast will be served. From approximately 8:30 am 9:30 <br />am, the indoor activities will take place. There will be a snack <br />served between 9:30 am and 10:00 am. From i0:00 am 12:00 pm, <br />outdoor activities will be conducted. A nap/rest time will occur <br />between the hours of 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. From 2:30 pm -4:00 pm, <br />the children will again be participating in outdoor activities. <br />From 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm is a free play time and also parent pick- <br /> <br /> We have been in contact with the Health Department concerning the <br /> kitchen area and are providing refrigeration, a three-compar=ment <br /> sink, a separate sink for the washing of hands, a preparation area, <br /> a range with hood vent access to the outside and cabinets for <br /> storage. All meals and snacks shall meet the nutritional needs of <br /> the children as established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. <br /> We have ample restroom facilities for the children and personnel. <br /> We also understand that the Fire Prevention Bureau should be <br /> contacted after all of our plans are completed for final approval. <br /> The indoor activities will provide for social, emotional and <br /> language development. Emphasis will be placed on learnlng the <br /> alphabet, numbers by flash cards and hand writing. Additional <br /> educational tapes will be provlded and also musical tapes. Art <br /> activities will include pasting pictures, coloring and painting. <br /> The outdoor activities to be conducted will consist of hopscotch, <br /> jump rope, assorted ball activities (ie. volleyball). Two swing <br /> set areas will be constructed, with each swing set containing <br /> approximately 4 swings and a slide, totalling 8 swings and 2 <br /> slides. Scooters and bicycles will be provided for the children <br /> to be used on the paved area. There will also be a sandbox area <br /> in the front of the building which will be a self-contained area. <br /> A floor plan has been provided which shows areas of the building <br /> <br />which will be used for sleeping, play, classroom, eating and <br />cooking. Some areas will be used for rest/sleep areas and then <br />will change over to play areas determined by the time of the <br />activities. The two infant rooms nex~ to the kitchen will have <br />doors installed which will allow access to the outside. <br /> <br /> <br />
