37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF REED AVENUE LYING BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN LINE OF BALLARD <br />AVENUE (NOW CLOSED) AND THAT PORTION OF REED AVENUE PREVIOUSLY <br />CLOSED BY ORDINANCE NUMBER 1963-14. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described street, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and request for appointment of viewers has been <br />advertised as required by law; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Roy Leznart, Simon Po Arrington, <br />Robert McCurdy, Lester B. Harrington, and Harry Fallon, be <br />appointed viewers and that James V. McGehee and Raymond Tweed <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described street and to report to this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any <br />what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br /> All that certain portion of Reed Avenue <br />beginning at the southern line of Ballard <br />Avenue (now closed) and extending 100 feet, <br />more or less, to the portion of Reed Avenue <br />previously closed by ordinance 1963-14. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on August 10, 19930 <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
