<br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY
<br />KNOWN AS 242 ELM AVENUE TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND
<br />HOUSING AUTHORITY.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth is the owner of two
<br />parcels of land located at 242 Elm Avenue, which it no longer
<br />needs for its public purposes; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth desires to convey said
<br />property to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority
<br />for purposes of economic and community development of the
<br />City.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
<br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he
<br />is hereby authorized to execute a deed of conveyance with
<br />Special Warranty to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing
<br />Authority for property known as 242 Elm Avenue, Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia, which said property is more particularly bounded and
<br />described as follows, to-wit:

<br />
<br />Ail that certain lot, piece or parcel of land,
<br />with the buildings and improvements thereon,
<br />situate, lying and being in the City of
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered and
<br />designated as Disposition Parcel 10A, as shown
<br />on a cer%aln plat entitled: "Plat Showing
<br />Survey of Disposition Parcel 10A, Block 16,
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, for Park View
<br />Conservation & Redevelopment Project VA R-48,"
<br />dated Octooer 19, 1976, prepared by E. Stuart
<br />Ball & Associates, Ltd., Surveyors-Planners,
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, duly recorded in the
<br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the
<br />City of Portsmouth in Deed Book 733 at page
<br />52.

<br />with the buildings and improvements thereon,
<br />situate, lying and being in the City of
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered and

<br />shown on a survey entitled: "Plat Showing
<br />Survey of Disposition Parcel 11, Block 16,
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, for Park View
<br />Conservation and Redevelopment Project, VA
<br />R-48," dated March 24, 1980, made by Robert T.
<br />Addison & Associates, Ltd.,
<br />Surveying-Engineering, Portsmouth, Virginia,
